While conventional yoga mats lose their slip resistance when wet, the Phoenix Mat offers you extra grip. The smooth, hard-wearing PU coating on the upper side absorbs moisture, while the natural rubber underside provides good traction. The Phoenix Mat has a beautiful laser print that you can also use as a practical alignment tool. For example, orient yourself on the center line to align your feet correctly.
Polyurethane has a tendency to change colour as soon as it comes into contact with moisture/sweat. This optical change does not affect the functionality of the mat in any way. We recommend wiping the mat with a slightly damp cloth after a particularly sweaty yoga practice. Do not use cleaning agents containing alcohol on the PU coating. Please do not roll up the mat until it is dry.
